Whether you are shopping at the Atlantic Station stores, or looking for something to eat before taking in a movie at the Atlantic Station movie theatre (Regal Atlantic Station), you have a lot of choices when it comes to restaurants. Plus parking is easy, there is a valet service next to the Pig and the Pearl, or use the Atlantic Station parking deck that is literally below the street.

Atlantic Station Restaurants
The Pig and The Pearl: Our food tour of Atlantic Station restaurants started here. We sampled several items from the menu including the buffalo pork rinds with blue cheese, celery and carrots, P&P loaded potatoes which includes home fries, pulled chicken & pork, cheddar, ranch and scallions, and Chincoteague Oysters from the Chesapeake Bay. The oysters are $1 every day from 4 – 6 pm.
What you want to get here is the Springer Mountain Farms Smoked Chicken Wings with a bourbon hot sauce. In addition to being smoked, these wings are glazed, grilled, and delicious.
Another reason to dine here, the awesome patio, with a great view down 19th Street, which is especially pretty when it’s all aglow for the holidays.
I thought Atlantic Grill just did burgers. Boy, I was wrong.
Atlantic Grill: Our evening here began with a crown apple cocktail that included crown, apple juice, applesauce, all topped with fresh cut apples. It was quite tasty, but I was never clear if you would see this on the menu or if it was just special for our group. Either way, you can probably ask for it.
When I think of Atlantic Grille, I think of burgers. They make a really good burger here, as well as yummy salad. However, during our tour, we tasted the smoked pork tenderloin stuffed with apples and prosciutto over a butternut squash puree with fried sage. It was fine, but what you want to get here is the salmon over that same butternut squash puree with fried sage. OMG, it was my favourite dish of the evening.
This is also a favourite late-night spot after attending a movie at Atlantic Station movie theatre (Regal Atlantic Station).
Love the atmosphere at Chick-a-Biddy, where you can get a cocktail with your chicken.
Chick-a-Biddy: Have you ever walked into a diner and thought, Jeez, I wish they had a bar. Well, Chick-a-Biddy hears you. Look beyond the 1950’s ‘esque linoleum tables, along with the classic glass case tiered with desserts, and you’ll find the full bar.
I’m generally a beer or wine gal, not so much for mixed drinks. Our cocktail here was super tart, and quite tasty for several in our group. I was more excited about the arugula salad and the scrumptious chicken stew with a crunchy sliver of garlic toast.
This establishment is a great choice to grab something before a show. This restaurant is literally across the street from the Atlantic Station movie theatre, a Regal Cinema. Atlantic Station often does movie premieres too. In fact, the night of our food tour, a member of our group had to leave early to hobnob with the stars of a new film. You never know whom you’ll see.
Our sources at Atlantic Station say this is also a favourite lunchtime spot, especially if you want their southern speciality, chicken and waffles. They also have lots of vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Meehans: St. Patrick’s Day is a MAJOR holiday in my family, so I’m a little predisposed to a place called Meehans. The décor here is dark and cozy, just like a good Guinness.
On our tour we sampled several items from the menu. I’m a sucker for bruschetta and this version with heirloom cherry tomato and local feta cheese tossed in a roasted garlic vinaigrette with grilled baguette and red wine reduction was pretty delicious.
My other weakness is soft pretzels. The H&F soft baked artisan pretzel was so yummy that it didn’t need the harp and white cheddar fondue or the house mustard. So what exactly is an artisan pretzel? I have no idea, but I’d be willing to taste a few more to figure it out.
Our inside source said this is the best place to go watch any major soccer match. If you want to save a little money, the lunch specials are a great way to sample their menu at half price. (our source’s favourite is the chicken salad sandwich.)
Atlantic Station Restaurants Not on our Food Tour
There are too many Atlantic Station restaurants to visit all of them in one evening, so we enlisted Scotty Knollin, a marketing specialist with Hines, to tell us a little about his favourites. Since Scotty works at Atlantic Station, he and his colleagues go out to eat quite a bit. Here are their opinions on Atlantic Station restaurants.
Strip Atlantic Station: The popular Strip restaurant went out of business abruptly earlier this year. This prime location at Atlantic Station that overlooks Central Park has been converted into event space. For the foreseeable future, you can book the Steel Mill Event Venue for your shindig. No word on whether a restaurant will eventually occupy the space.
Yard House Atlantic Station: This is the place to go when everyone wants something a little different. Pizza. Burger. Steak. Chicken. Salad. Taco. It’s all here at Yard House. The most talked about item on the menu? That would be the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque. According to our insider, it sounds basic, but the mixture of several cheeses works perfectly. So if you need to satisfy a quirky and diverse crowd, this is the spot.
Rosa Mexicana Atlantic Station: This is one of the few restaurants that has been in Atlantic Station since the very beginning. Few can pass up the guacamole prepared fresh at your table or the pomegranate margarita. For a quick bite to take into Central Park, belly up to the Taco Window which is open on the weekends.
IKEA Atlantic Station: IKEA isn’t only about cheap furniture; it also has cheap food in a cafeteria environment. The Swedish meatballs are a favourite, as is the gargantuan cinnamon roll. IKEA is not located in the main Central Park area of Atlantic Station. The building is off on it’s own, but it’s worth the short walk if you’re short on cash, or craving lingonberries. Join the IKEA family loyalty program and you’ll get free coffee or hot tea at the restaurant too.
ALLORA at TWELVE: This restaurant is part of the Concentrics Hospitality group and is located inside the TWELVE Hotel located on the corner of 17th Street and Atlantic Drive. Concentrics also owns Two Urban Licks, and Parish, among other popular Atlanta restaurants.
California Pizza Kitchen: This is a great place if you have kids in tow. Who knows, but they also offer kids’ parties. Take a kitchen tour, then make-your-own pizzas. For adults, the seasonal cocktails at the bar are unique.
Land of a Thousand Hills: If you like to feel good about your coffee habit, you can do that here. A portion of all proceeds from their Rwandan-sourced coffee go directly back to the farmers and people of the Rwandan villages where the beans are sourced and grown. Stick around after hours for monthly events like Board Game Night and Tap Takeovers, where they feature beer from local breweries.
